Pulse 2013 is kicking off. Submit your speaker proposal.
20 October, 2012
An effective speaker is a subject-matter expert, engaging, and passionate about the topic.
If you think you fit these qualities and have something to add to the Pulse 2013 conversation we want to hear from you.
Every year we try to make Pulse a more collaborative space filled with the industry’s thought leaders and every year you’ve delivered amazing, thought-provoking content. We’re hoping you’ll continue that trend and help us make this year even better than the last.
Within IBM we have our own sets of experts, but we know that even more knowledge can be gained from our customers and our peers. And Pulse 2013 is an opportunity for you to share that knowledge with nearly 8,000 of your business and IT peers.
Accepted speakers will be awarded a free conference pass (subject to legal approval) along with other benefits including access to the Speaker VIP Lounge at Pulse.
Pulse 2013 will focus on five areas of content, or streams. Proposals must reflect one of the following topics:
1 – Cloud and IT Optimization
What’s it about?
This stream will feature tracks that focus on IBM’s SmartCloud and IT optimization offerings, exploring how clients can successfully establish the right foundation of public, private or hybrid cloud environments. It will also feature tracks on IT availability and performance, IT process optimization, big data and analytics, expert integrated systems, storage management and Z systems. Ideal session submissions will feature best practices, case studies and implementations from clients, IBM business partners and industry experts – highlighting how these technologies help improve the economics of IT.
2 – Smarter Infrastructure
What’s it about?
This stream will focus on IBM’s smarter infrastructure capabilities that maximize operational effectiveness, accelerate time to market, and enable new value creation across the entire product lifecycle. We’re looking for sessions that include smarter infrastructure case studies and best practices, Enterprise Asset Management, Integrated Workplace Management, Smarter Buildings and Cities, and Smarter Products that explore the convergence of IT and OT, asset lifespan, risk and compliance, cost reduction, energy efficiency, space planning and real estate portfolio management and more.
3 – The Mobile Enterprise
What’s it about?
This stream is all about interacting with mobile subject matter experts, learning about the innovative capabilities customers like you can achieve, and seeing hands-on demonstrations of new capabilities from IBM that can help you take the next steps to make mobile integral to your enterprise.
4 – Security and Data Protection
What’s it about?
In this stream we will address key security challenges around emerging technologies, threat mitigation and compliance and audit. Submitted topics should address best practices, user experiences and more as we explore how IBM solutions have helped organizations stay ahead of the evolving threat landscape, while embracing new technologies like cloud and virtualization and mobility. We hope attendees will gain insights into the effective management of compliance and audit from designing, enforcing and monitoring security policies.
5 – Communication Service Providers
What’s it about?
This stream will explore how effective analytics coupled with network and service assurance enables control of the entire communication and content management infrastructure. Submitted papers should highlight best practices and client experiences across networks analytics, event and performance management and other OSS/BSS functions.
